Riyadh - Saudi Arabia
- NOOR Festival 2023-
In the heart of Riyadh, under the vibrant Saudi sky, I had the unique opportunity to infuse the dynamic installation crafted by Arne Quinze with a captivating play of light. The sculptural brilliance of Quinze's creation became a canvas for my light design, a harmonious dance between form and illumination.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, my light installation came to life, casting a soft, ethereal glow on the intricate structures conceived by Quinze. The warm hues embraced the organic lines and geometric shapes, accentuating the raw beauty of the installation against the Riyadh night.
I meticulously curated the lighting to accentuate the nuances of Quinze's design, allowing shadows to breathe life into the space. The interplay of light and shadow added a dynamic layer to the already evocative installation, creating an immersive experience for the spectators.
The lighting design sought to mirror the pulse of Riyadh itself, combining modern aesthetics with a nod to tradition. LED accents traced the edges of Quinze's forms, creating a contemporary vibrancy that resonated with the city's progressive spirit.
As viewers strolled through the illuminated installation, they became participants in a sensory journey. The subtle shifts in color and intensity mirrored the city's heartbeat, transforming the static installation into a living, breathing entity.
The synergy between Arne Quinze's vision and my light design aimed to create an atmospheric dialogue, inviting contemplation and fostering a connection between art, space, and observer. In the heart of Riyadh, where tradition meets modernity, this collaborative endeavor stands as a testament to the transformative power of light in shaping and enhancing our perception of the world around us.
